Teaching practitioner FAQs
How do the resources map to the curriculum?
Answer: Construction training, digital and IT training, and education and childcare training have been launched in line with the new T Level pathways, developed to address future employment demands. The services are curriculum mapped to NVQ/SVQ/VRQ level 3 qualifications as well as being mapped to the latest National Occupational Standards (NOS). The services are also relevant to many BTEC units.
For health and social care training and Hairdressing training, the resources are curriculum mapped to every mandatory unit in NVQ/SVQ levels 2 and 3. The resources are also mapped to NOS (National Occupational Standards), identifying the learning objectives clearly through keywords.
The content was created by subject matter experts who currently teach in FE and are awarding body agnostic.
How do I find a resource?
Answer: The best way to find a specific resource is to search for it using either its unit title or a keyword; making sure to use terms common to curriculum specifications or occupational standards. If you can’t find what you are looking for try similar terms or browse the resources via the filters. If you still can’t find something from the mandatory curriculum you need, please get in touch via content.feandskills@jisc.ac.uk.
Take a look at our Searching, filters and tags guide to find out more.
Can I print any of the supplementary material?
Answer: Yes, you can download and print our guides, info-graphics, worksheets, and transcripts. To do this, simply locate the resource that you wish to print, download and print as usual. Supplementary material which is downloaded from the vocational learning resources will expire at the end of the academic year, but you can re-download them. Transcripts do not expire.
Can I embed resources to my organisation’s VLE?
