Linking services to your VLE
The following are services run by the Jisc FE and skills team, their direct links to get you started and the descriptions. Please copy and paste these snippets into the different courses on your VLE and on your library website. During this difficult period the login has been removed from the ‘training’ services and so staff and students can directly access the resources and get started.
Notifying staff
We would also recommend uploading copies of our vocational learning resources promotional materials and our e-books for FE posters to any learning resource hub or library website, and emailing all the relevant staff with something like:
“You may have heard that Jisc has made their vocational learning resources available to colleges to help with planning for remote learning. For an overview of the supplied services please see their Welcome Pack To find the best resources for each unit see the curriculum support guidance. For additional guidance see their guides https://vocationalresources.support.jisc.ac.uk/support/ or contact them at content.feandskills@jisc.ac.uk”
“Jisc’s e-books for FE service with its wide selection of online e-books is still available to help with learning and teaching. To find the best resources for each subject area see the curriculum support guidance. For additional guidance see their guides https://support.ebooksforfe.jisc.ac.uk/ or contact them at content.feandskills@jisc.ac.uk”
“To keep up to date with the Jisc services available to us please subscribe to their JiscMails E-BOOKS-FOR-FE List and FEANDSKILLSCONTENT List, and follow them on Twitter at @ebooksforFE and @FE_Jisc
